Mission

Illuminating knowledge & opportunity where the Internet cannot reach.

Around the world, seven in ten people living in low-income countries remain offline, and millions lack access to even the most basic health and education resources.
Yet four in five of those same communities have reliable electricity—enough to power a small, affordable computer.

LightBridge Foundation was created to close that last-mile information gap.
We build and ship offline “AI libraries”—palm-sized devices that run powerful, multilingual language-models locally. People can simply speak or type a question and receive accurate, up-to-date guidance on health, farming, education, and entrepreneurship without any internet connection.

Our Mission

To empower underserved communities with trustworthy, locally relevant knowledge—delivered through low-cost, offline artificial intelligence.

Why It Matters

What We Do

Pillar How We Act
Deploy AI Libraries We load compact LLMs (e.g., DeepSeek, Llama variants) onto fanless mini-PCs or ARM boards with a screen and microphone. Each unit serves an entire village.
Localize & Translate Content is available in regional languages—Chichewa in Malawi, Bangla in Bangladesh, Yoruba and Hausa in Nigeria, Amharic in Ethiopia, and more.
Partner & Train We work with schools, clinics, farmers’ co-ops, and faith centers to install kiosks and train local stewards to keep them running.
Iterate Ethically Models are vetted for bias, updated regularly, and tuned to provide safe medical and agricultural guidance with clear disclaimers.

Strategic Focus Areas

  1. Health & Well-being
Portable kiosks deliver maternal-health checklists, vaccination schedules, nutrition advice, and disease-prevention tips—saving families days of travel to distant clinics.

  2. Education & Youth Skills
Students prepare for exams, learn coding basics, and discover entrepreneurship—all in their native languages and at their own pace.

  3. Climate-Smart Agriculture
Farmers receive season-specific advice on crop selection, flood-resilient practices, and fair market prices, boosting food security and income.

How You Can Help

Together we can light the bridge between digital knowledge and the communities that need it most—one offline AI library at a time.
